Donations for Online Yoga & Meditation Practices
Meeting ID: 822-8646-8395
If you are well-resourced to do you, you are invited to give an optional donation for your attendance at these sessions.
For month of April and May, I will be donating 75% of the profits (less fees) to the COVID-19 Victorian First Nations Mutual Aid Fund
This fund collects donations in response to the distress, anxiety and uncertainty expressed by members of First Nations communities. It acknowledges the large systematic gaps not currently met by organisations and government services.
We know that First Nations communities expect health complications, housing insecurities and food vulnerabilities to be exacerbated due to the disproportionate levels of discrimination experienced by aboriginal people. Many members of these communities are already living with disabilities, debilitating traumas, chronic illness, and/or compromised immune systems as well as housing insecurities due to the systemic effects of colonisation and displacement.
Donations will be used for:
• Food vouchers or supplies for members of our community experiencing food insecurity.
• Petrol vouchers so that grocery deliveries can be made to immuno-compromised, those living with disabilities, chronic illness and eldery members.
• Essential health and hygiene supplies.
• Household cleaning products, as well as, sanitising products.
• Masks and gloves to reduce the transmission of COVID-19.
I will make the donations as a batch at the end of each month. If this continues, as we expect it will, beyond May, I will allocate a new charity for the donations.
25% of the profits will go towards my time in an attempt to recoup some of the losses I’ve felt personally through cancellations of face-to-face classes.
You are welcome to try the practice and decide whether you would like to continue and make a regular, or one-off, donation, depending on how often you attend the practice.
Donations are completely optional and only if you feel able to to support financially.
